Haven is a collaborative guild formed by a group of raiders that have played together on and off for many years, some of us since vanilla, and finally decided to found our own guild together. The guild consists of a democratic council style system with 6 specialized officers and a seventh voted in Guild Manager. In Haven we believe everyone has a voice to be heard, and will be heard at the appropriate times (bi-monthly officer meeting open to all), or through the forums. We are primarily a group of adults that have full time lives outside of the game, and work together to seek a healthy balance between playing and real life.
We're located on Garrosh - US - Horde server, after much discussion we believe it to be a great place to accomplish our goals. Currently our main focus is Heroic mode progression raiding in a 20 +/- raider setting (we may poke around in Mythic raids during down time but Haven is not a Mythic progression guild). We aim to stay in the top 10,000 ranking world wide, and in the top 5 of our server.
Have fun, respect one another, no drama period, and kill some pixels.
Always be prepared, master of one's class, respect fellow raiders, and go above and beyond.

General Haven Rules: - Respect your Guild and Guildmates. - No drama period. If you have an issue talk to an officer right away. Any drama will lead to a gkick very quickly. - You represent Haven, do not give us a bad name. i.e. make sure to troll trade on a non-guild toon - Always try and help Guildmates when you can. - Accountability: Each and every player will be held accountable for their actions.
Haven expects all raiders to be raid ready prior to raid start and attend every scheduled raid.*
Raid Ready:unless you have signed out on Discord in the #attendance channel - we expect all raiders to be at raid, on time, studied up on our Raid Leaders strategies, met the requirements for your role (Raid Requirements), watched videos for more info (Fatboss), read up on your class role in the fights (Icy-Veins, Wowhead, etc.), have your addons (Curse), have your potions/flasks, and gear is enchanted/gemmed.
*advance notice on not being able to attend raid is acceptable due to real world conflicts, we are all working professionals, and understand unforseen circumstances.
Enchants, gems, potions, food, and flasks will all be provided by the Guild Bank, there are no excuses not to have them.
People may be sat, put on standby or asked to rotate out at any time due optimal raid compisition for a fight, or low dps/hps/can't take a hit.
We in Haven believe direct communication is important, if you cant handle constructive criticism a raider rank is not for you (we do not nerd rage, but will openly discuss).
Problems during raid with mechanics will be addressed immediately and briefly, do not take offense.
We run live logs with warcraftlogs.com so these accessments are accurate, justified, and are available for all to monitor.
As we grow we will encourge players to have Raider Alts, but will not require them, there eligibilty for raid is TBD.
Raider Alts will be geared on off raid nights, farm nights as we can fit them in, or Sunday Funday.

Typically, every week, a new list of chores will be posted on the Discord #chores channel with a due date. Each raider will be requried to gather and mail these items to Raychacha along with a message of what you're sending. If a raider does not submit their chores by the posted date, they will have double chores the following week. These chores are small and help keep our gbank stocked with all raider needs.
Raid invites start 9:30pm EST.
All attending members need to be in raid by 9:50pm EST.
Progression raiding will be tues/weds/thurs 10pm-1230am EST
Non-Progression raiding will be tues/weds 10pm-1230am EST
Progression ends when the last boss of the current tier is dead.
During a new tier, we may add an additional non-mandatory day to push progression. This will usually be the first 3 Saturdays of a raid opening. We encourage, but do not require raiders to be there. If we have enough, we raid - if not, we don't.
This means we raid only two nights, 2 1/2 hours each, after progression is over to gear for next tier.
Sunday Funday will be a raiding time slot uses for gearing alts and tom foolery.
Currently loot distribution is a modified need before greed system, with a variety of options to be sure the group is geared efficiently as a whole. Gear that is not needed will go to the guild bank and disenchanted for guild supplied enchants. BoE items that are not needed will be sold in the auction house to supply the guild bank, these items will be able for player purchase for alts at a 50% discounted price from the current global average sale price. Please be aware that raiders are priority for gear and all new recruits on their trials are eligible if raiders do not need.
